Teen Black Royal International - Lauren Tally
Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Lauren Talley is a 16 year old leader, author, entrepreneur, and advocate for youth literacy. She is the CEO and founder of The LST Writing, a youth focused literacy initiative dedicated to empowering the next generation of writers and helping address literacy challenges in her community and beyond.
A published author of two books, Lauren has loved writing since elementary school and uses her voice as both a writer and poet to inspire others through storytelling, creativity, and advocacy.
Growing up in Oklahoma, a state that has faced longstanding challenges in education and literacy, Lauren witnessed how limited access to literacy opportunities affected many of her classmates and peers. Determined to create meaningful change, she founded The LST Writing with the belief that reading and writing are more than academic skills. To her, they are tools for empowerment, self expression, confidence, and future success.
As Teen Black Royal International, Lauren is committed to expanding this mission by raising awareness, strengthening community engagement, and creating meaningful outreach that helps more young people discover the joy and power of literacy.
Beyond her work, Lauren is a high school junior who stays actively involved in school organizations, serves her community, and enjoys creative outlets like baking, journaling, and writing. She is passionate about uplifting young people, creating spaces where youth voices are valued, and demonstrating that meaningful impact has no age requirement.
Through her reign as Teen Black Royal International, Lauren hopes to represent young women of color with pride, purpose, and poise while inspiring others to use their voices, invest in their communities, and lead with confidence.
